Hut, Hut, Hike: Pizza Hut Taps into George Takei Tagline for Super Bowl LI Spot

Oh my! Droga5 strikes again with another humorous spot for Pizza Hut, which made its debut during Super Bowl LI. Unlike the lovable homesick CG alien created by MPC for No One Out Pizzas The Hut, the pizza giant landed another iconic space traveler to endorse their newest pizza deal – George Takei.

George can’t help himself but to proclaim his popular catchphrase, made famous by The Howard Stern Show, when he experiences the ease and quickness of Pizza Hut’s mobile app to deliver hot and ready $6.99 medium pizzas to the party.

With the help of both MPC LA and MPC NY, this spot was ready for takeoff for the Big Game. Colorist James Tillett of MPC NY graded the spot, while the MPC LA team working under Senior Producer Matthew Loranger provided VFX.
