British Arrows has been championing, awarding and celebrating the innovation, bravery and artistry of moving image advertising for over 40 years. Last night marked the second of the annual combined CRAFT and AWARDS show: ‘THE BRITISH ARROWS’.
Following our 15 nominations across Animation, CGI, Colour, VFX, International and Non-Alcoholic Drinks, last night’s glittering ceremony saw MPC take to the stage to collect a selection of awards.
Samsung ‘Ostrich’ – directed by MJZ Los Angeles’ Matthijs Van Heijningen with Leo Burnett Chicago – stole the show, winning the prestigious Best Crafted Commercial award. MPC’s Diarmid Harrison-Murray, Amir Bazazi and Martino Madeddu took home GOLD for CGI, and another GOLD was won for Animation – collected by Diarmid Harrison-Murray, Tim van Hussen and David Bryan. To round it off a spectacular succession, MPC took home SILVER for VFX, which was awarded to Diarmid Harrison-Murray, Michael Gregory and Amir Bazazi.
Next in the wining line-up saw Volkswagen’s ‘Born Confident’ - featuring the collaboration of Bruce St Clair at Indiana Production and Independent Ideas - take home two SILVERS in the Craft category. Chris Welsby, David Bryan and Chloe Dawe collected SILVER in Animation and Carsten Keller, Fabian Frank and Dan Sanders took home SILVER for CGI.
To wrap up an outstanding evening, our Global Creative Director of Colour, Jean-Clément Soret, collected GOLD for Lacoste’s beautiful spot, ‘Timeless’.
Last but not least, great work from our design and digital teams for creating the murmurations and VR experience for last night’s awards.
A huge well done to everyone for enabling this extraordinary night of success!
