D&AD Awards 2018

Samsung ‘Ostrich’ receives a coveted yellow pencil, with Edeka ‘2117’ picking up two graphite pencils

Since the 1960s, the D&AD Pencil has been championing and celebrating the best in design and advertising.

MPC’s work on Leo Burnett Chicago’s Samsung ‘Ostrich’, directed by MJZ’s Matthijs Van Heijningen, added another award to its haul - winning a prestigious yellow pencil for Special Effects for Film Advertising, bringing its total awards tally to 13.

Edeka ‘2117’ conceived by Jung Von Matt, which depicts a futuristic dystopian world, also directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen, picked up two graphite pencils in the Special Effects and Animation.

Congratulations to everyone who worked on both of the award-winning spots.
