King Arthur’s design-led title sequences were crafted by a specialist combination of MPC Advertising’s 3D artists and designers, who seamlessly integrated live action with a high volume of intricate, hand-animated typography inspired by traditional swordsmith techniques. The team of artists had 36 lighting environments to create in under three weeks. Anthony Bloor, Joint Head of 3D at MPC Advertising says: “We needed a creative solution that would bring our creative vision to life in the tight timeline we had. I created a bespoke font-building technique that allowed our artists more time to dedicated to the unique lighting FX required for each title scene."
The design aesthetic MPC Design applied to the scenes led to "a true creative partnership between our team of artists and the director, Guy Ritchie" explains MPC Design’s Creative Director Ryan Hays.
