Dimitri Zola has been around colorists and their craft from his very start in the industry, joining Company 3 as a runner and working his way up to color assistant before moving to the color department at MPC as a color assistant and then a colorist. He started right out of high school and believes his early immersion into the world of color grading – along with his focused work ethic – has paid off.
He has quickly become a sought-after colorist, working with acclaimed directors such as Nadia Lee Cohen and global brands including NBA, Beats by Dre, Banana Republic and FIFA. He has also become renowned for his work on campaign films and music videos, including Kenzo’s ‘Yo! My Saint’ campaign film which was shortlisted for Best Branded Content at the AICP Awards, Beats by Dre’s “Be Heard” film and music videos such as Kali Uchis’ “After the Storm”, which won a 2018 Gold Pencil for Best Production Design and was also a Vimeo staff pick.
