UK Modern Slavery Act Statement

The Moving Picture Company Limited (“MPC”) is a leading global VFX provider in the film and advertising sectors.  MPC employs around 700 people in London offices.

This statement is made on behalf of the UK legal entity, MPC, but all principles, policies and processes are or will be disseminated to sister’s companies working with MPC.

The businesses within MPC are all in the advertising and film sectors. These sectors have straightforward supply chains compared with other sectors in the UK and the majority of the providers of services and goods we use are based in the UK. Operating in the advertising and film sectors, the risk of modern slavery or human trafficking taking place in our supply chain is low. Nevertheless, we understand the importance of combatting slavery and human trafficking and our duty to take steps to tackle the issue.

Whilst we believe we have conducted the relevant check with our providers, we remain committed to continually improving to our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking, and to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. The majority of our providers of goods and services are based in the UK and in addition we ensure that we contain the relevant provisions within our contracts to protect against modern slavery or human trafficking. Such processes mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains by placing contractual obligations on suppliers to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2017.
