The Weeknd has released the 12-minute short film MANIA to accompany his new chart-topping album, Starboy. Featuring Michael Jackson-esque melodies and collaborations with Daft Punk, Future, Kendrick Lamar and Lana del Rey, The Weeknd encapsulates his newest creative venture in this mesmerizing visual story. Starboy is already heralded by the press as a triumph equal to his last album, Beauty Behind The Madness. With 12 million views and climbing online, the new music film is receiving equal praise.
MANIA was directed by Grant Singer of Anonymous Content, whose critically acclaimed work ranges from music videos for The Weeknd’s last album to videos for Ariana Grande, Skrillex and Phantogram. MPC’s Gizmo Rivera led the VFX and Mark Gethin provided the grade.
