Mercedes, Star and Laurel

MPC, Merkley + Partners and Mercedes remind audiences to not stick to their laurels for 2018 S-Class introduction

Mercedes Benz recently released a look into the 2018 S-Class, and tapped into the creative minds at MPC Advertising to illustrate how the new model stands as the pinnacle of excellence. Directed by Andrew Douglas of RESET, whose credits have spanned across a wide variety of advertisements, documentaries, short and feature films.

MPC’s Senior CG Supervisor Chris Bernier traveled to Stuttgart, Germany for the shoot and worked closely Douglas and the onsite team to maintain Mercedes quality in standards.

The team back in New York took the footage, which VFX Supervisor and Senior Flame Artist Warren Paleos described as “a breeze to work with due to the excellent execution done by Douglas and Bernier”, and used a variety of softwares to help simulate the advanced technology of the Mercedes model.

Colorist James Tillett of New York then enhanced the grade of the spot to reflect its bold and edgy look to complete the look and feel of the spot.
