Marks & Spencer, Spend It Well

Valenstein & Fatt’s first campaign for M&S, with VFX and grade by MPC, introduces a new proposition for the retail brand centered on attitude and empowerment

‘Life is short.  And spending it well isn’t always about saying yes.’

Directed by Riff Raff Films’ François Rousselet, and narrated by award-winning British actor Helen McCrory, this spot is about having the conviction to say ‘no’ – no to everything from uncomfortable knickers to bad relationships.

The team here at MPC created the VFX and grade for the empowering ad, which is set to a new arrangement of David Bowie’s ‘Rebel Rebel’ and aptly introduces an inspirational tone of voice for the retail brand as part of an integrated campaign, including TV, social, digital, press, outdoor, radio and in-store activation.

Ultimately, it sends us one resounding message: you only get one life… #SpendItWell
