MPC partners with Wayne McClammy and Publicis to create HP Enterprises’ “NoBot”

MPC continues a long-standing relationship with hungry man’s Wayne McClammy, with collaborations including Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, GEICO and State Farm, for HP Enterprises’ new commercial.

For the spot, Publicis NY dreamed up Michael, a robotic naysaying employee whom HP lovingly called the “NoBot.” Then award-winning DP Hoyte van Hoytema, MPC and Legacy prosthetics all collaborated to bring him to life via top-notch cinematography, CG, grade and a bit of McClammy’s signature wit.

MPC LA colorist Ricky Gausis graded the commercial. CD Rob Hodgson oversaw MPC’s VFX team, with Benji Davidson VFX supervising, Jim Spratling leading 2D and Rune Mansson leading 3D. MPC’s artists in LA and Bangalore made quick work of blending the CG on Michael’s wrists, neck and head in to match the rest of Michael’s body and surroundings, in a very tight schedule.
