MPC LA's Ricky Gausis grades 'Turn Down for What' music video for DJ Snake & Lil Jon

DJ Snake and Lil Jon have unveiled their latest hit single "Turn Down For What," which was directed by filmmaking duo The Daniels and graded by Colorist Ricky Gausis.

Ricky explains: "As anyone can tell from the video, alongside being creative people, The Daniels are also great fun and brought that energy to the grade. We had three different scenes to address and went for a look that edged on the darker side but would retain individual expressions, which were essential to the piece. My favorite floor is the final one where we really gave the room a dark and grimy feel. The shadows and midtones were pulled down a lot, with a hint of green in the highlights to accentuate Larkin's great camera work."

Described by Rolling Stone as “perfect insanity,” this compelling music video is “ripe for repeat viewings.”
