Directed by Diarmid Harrison-Murray through MPC Creative, Cushelle’s charming new spot for Publicis London brings Kenny the koala back, with animation by MPC

Director Diarmid Harrison-Murray joined forces with Publicis London back in 2016 to evolve the cuddly-soft Koala character within a fully CG spot. This year our furry friend is back, but this time set in a live-action world. 

Speaking about the new project, Diarmid says, "Another great collaboration with our friends at Publicis. They've handled moving Kenny into the big wide world of live action storytelling with real sensitivity."

The animation and VFX wizards within MPC harnessed the studio’s first class proprietary software tool ‘Furtility’ to create Kenny’s beautifully soft fur - recently used to create the Cannes Silver Lion winning photo-real creatures in John Lewis 'Buster the Boxer' and the much-loved jungle creatures in Jon Favreau’s  'The Jungle Book'. This time, our team of artists increased the photo-real quality of Kenny's fur and eyes, while keeping him in the realms of the character’s unique look and feel. One thing remains certain: Kenny will still do just about anything to get his paws on Cushelle…
